Dear editor:

As an elder not currently on session, I stand with my brother Dean Waldt and say Amen!

My thoughts put better than I could say them.

Those of us who hold to orthodox, confessional, Reformed Christianity (excuse my redundancy), must reclaim "love." Love is not what I define it to be or what the church defines it to be or what culture has defined it to be. It is not found in the bedroom, although it should be reflected there.

God defines love; it is He who has first loved us and taught us what love is from Genesis 1:1 to Revelation 22:21. As far as marital love is concerned, God Himself has spoken in both Testaments: "For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh." It is not for culture or church to redefine God's plan for His creation.

I agree with Dean Waldt: All who teach or preach a different kind of love according to your own definition of what love is, repent.
