To the Editor:

Rev Barbara Hager's attack of Rolf Jensen is right out of the Bill Clinton playbook; viciously undermine the credibility of someone with whom you disagree with the intent of making him/her look like a fool. After reading her comments I certainly recognize who is being foolish. Amendment B prevents the ordination of practicing homosexuals. The Reverend is using her legalese to stretch a point that the person must be caught in the act; she does not recognize that vocal admission is sufficient. Guess I must ask her where she has been for twenty years. The PCUSA has voted down the ordination of homosexuals several times. We recently confirmed that decision by a near three to one margin.

My advice to her is GET A CHURCH, one that agrees with you, and stop attempting to destroy the PCUSA. Please allow the majority to get on with the real job of the church and not waste time on this ridiculous argument. QUIT BEATING A DEAD HORSE. Our Lord has much more serious and constructive things for the PCUSA to do.
