To the Editor:

Mr. Evans responds to my statement to Mr. Apel: "The shame is that so far the provision has been used to filter out only self-affirmed practicing homosexual persons."

He claims that the statement is untrue, because he knows of cases where G-6.0106b has been used to prevent ordination or installation of elders not homosexual.

I was wrong. The statement was incorrect. I retract it and assert the following:

"The shame is that so far G-6.0106b has rarely been used in any case other than trying to filter out self-affirmed practicing homosexual persons."
