Dear editor,
Since the following information is a response to a challenge given to one of my letters, I wish you would post it for people to read. Thank you.
I have found through searches the sources that I remember. Both came in testimony to Congress during Clinton's presidency, as they considered whether ot not to ban D&X (its not D&E), also known as partial birth abortion (PBA). In each case, Congress voted to ban the procedure, and CLinton vetoed it. The sources are as follows:
Dr. C. Everett Koop gave a statement that "partial-birth abortions are not needed to save the life of the mother," and the American Medical Association made a statement on the record in favor of the ban on partial-birth abortion.
Once again, I stand by what I said in my initial post/response.
