Editor:
I am curious about Dr. Cejkas sweeping pronouncement that In Elder Larson's attack on Dr. Winter, she is wrong. Thats a personal judgment. It may or may not be correct.
What is absolutely missing from Dr. Cejkas assessment is ANY support for his contentions. If Viola Larson is in error, and as decidedly so as Cejka asserts, precisely what is wrong with what she wrote, and why is it wrong?
Larsons essay, unlike Cejkas letter, is replete with for instances, which she held up for examination and then discussed. Can Cejka supply just a few supports for his rather regal proclamation?
What is worse, however, is Cejkas unwarranted assumption of Larsons motives, that she was mean-spirited. And thus Cejka adds dark speculation to his unsupported pronouncement.
I found Larsons reasoning and examples convincing, and she had only begun to scratch the surface of the errors, distortions, and biases evident in Dr. Winters essay.
Sincerely,
