217th General Assembly (GA) This is the start page for official information about the 217th General Assembly (2006) of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). Meeting biannually, the General Assembly is the highest governing body of the church. Items of business for the Assembly and other GA news have been posted here. Presbyweb reports/links to all the official as well as all the other national news of the PCUSA as it is posted anywhere on the web.

Board of Pensions The Board of Pensions of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) is the entity responsible for the benefits, assistance, and retirement housing programs for Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) workers and their families.

Confessing Church Movement (CCM) A movement of churches and groups that have reaffirmed 1. That Jesus Christ alone is Lord of all and the way of salvation. 2. That holy Scripture is the Triune God's revealed Word, the Church's only infallible rule of faith and life. 3. That God's people are called to holiness in all aspects of life. This includes honoring the sanctity of marriage between a man and a woman, the only relationship within which sexual activity is appropriate. The movement started in March 2001.

New Wineskins Initiative "The vision of the New Wineskins Initiative is that our life together as presbyterians would be characterized by theological and ethical integrity, missional faithfulness, and structural effectiveness. Presbyterian Panel Reports - The Presbyterian Panel is a representative sample of 5,000 Presbyterians (members, elders, pastors, and specialized clergy) who serve on the Presbyterian Panel for a three-year period and respond to mailed questionnaires four times a year.
